Note on positions
- The YPADB Board of Management is the legal entity. The foundation is the school's legal umbrella under Notarial Deed No. 01 of 21 April 2025 and Law No. 16 of 2001 on Foundations. Permits, assets and legal employment are held in the foundation's name.
- The School Board is the operational structure. It reports directly to the Local Church Board, as the supporting church and owner of the foundation. That is why the line between the foundation and the School Board is dashed (legal umbrella) rather than a direct line of command.
In line with the Adventist education Working Policy
- Every Adventist school must have one or more supporting churches (FE 4001).
- Where a school sits under a separate legal entity, its articles must state that it is an integral part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and at least two thirds of its members must be church members (FE 1080).
- The School Board includes the principal as secretary, the conference education director, the pastors of the supporting churches, and members elected by the supporting churches for two years. The principal is the only school employee on the board; the treasurer may attend without a vote (FE 1535).
- The School Board recommends the principal, teachers and staff, approves the budget, fees and school policies, and receives reports from the principal and the treasurer. Its decisions are carried out by the principal as executive secretary (FE 1525).
- The school follows the policies of the Division (SSD), Union and Conference. Where they differ, the policy of the higher organisation applies.
